As part of the "Involving Local Communities in Normalizing Public Life in Taiz Governorate" project, and in partnership with the Community Committee in the Al-Khairat neighborhood - Cairo Governorate, and in the presence of Captain Khaled Asaad - Deputy Director of the Youth and Sports Office and a number of social figures, the "Youth Without Borders" development organization inaugurated the rehabilitation of the soccer field in the Al-Khairat neighborhood. This activity comes as part of the organization's efforts to normalize public life in the governorate, in partnership with the community committees in the target districts.
Activity Results
The community committee in the Al-Khairat neighborhood designed and submitted the proposal for this activity after building their capacities in conflict resolution skills and promoting social peace. The project was then funded, and the necessary materials were provided to rehabilitate the soccer field, including soccer balls, goal posts with nets. Following this, a neighborhood soccer league was organized in order to harness the energy of youth and engage them in sports activities instead of any negative practices.
