About Activity
The limited institutional capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) is a major challenge affecting their effectiveness in supporting community security and coordinating with official bodies. To strengthen this role, the project implemented a capacity-building activity targeting partner organizations through three training programs focused on conflict sensitivity, participatory planning, grant management, and gender mainstreaming in interventions. These trainings contributed to developing the participants' expertise and empowering them to design and implement more impactful initiatives to promote local peace and security.
The activity was implemented from Jan to Feb 2025 in Taiz Governorate, with the participation of eight staff from Wasl for Peace and Experts for Development (3 men and 5 women), enhancing their ability to lead initiatives that align with the community's security needs.
