About Activity
Weak communication between researchers and local actors presents a challenge that affects the adoption of policy recommendations related to community security. To enhance this role, the project implemented a "Roundtable Discussion" activity, which brought together young researchers and local decision-makers to discuss the findings of two policy papers on the reintegration of returnees from frontlines and the regulation of carrying weapons in Taiz. The meeting provided a space for discussion, exchange of views, and identifying prospects for future collaboration, with the majority of participants expressing a strong willingness to contribute to the on-the-ground implementation of the recommendations.
Activity Results
Adoption of recommendations on security issues in Taiz by local actors, and an increased level of engagement with the outputs of the policy papers.
