About Activity

At the Taiz Youth Service Center, and under the sponsorship of Youth Without Borders Organization, in partnership with Taiz University, the Microfinance Forum for Entrepreneurship (2) was held as part of the Youth Program Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The forum witnessed broad participation from representatives of government entities, banks, microfinance institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

The forum aimed to promote a culture of entrepreneurship, connect young entrepreneurs with financing institutions, and open practical opportunities to transform innovative ideas into sustainable projects that contribute to improving livelihoods and supporting the local economy in Taiz Governorate.

Professor Dr. Riyadh Al-Aqab, Vice President of Taiz University for Student Affairs, emphasized the important role of civil society organizations and institutional partnerships in supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and economically empowering youth. Meanwhile, Tamam Al-Shaibani, Executive Director of Youth Without Borders Organization, explained that the forum is part of ongoing efforts to empower young entrepreneurs and provide interactive platforms that connect them with funding and support institutions.

The forum concluded with direct one-on-one consultations for entrepreneurs provided by banks and microfinance institutions, helping guide them on how to launch their projects, identify suitable financing requirements, and enhance the chances of success for their ventures.
