As part of the Local Mediation Enhancement Project in Yemen, implemented by Youth Without Borders for Development in partnership with Raneen Yemen Foundation, a series of periodic meetings of the Reconciliation and Social Peace Committee were held in Taiz Governorate during September, October, and November 2025.

The meetings brought together committee members and the youth mediation team to discuss and analyze community conflict issues in the targeted districts, and to develop preliminary solution plans based on the issue matrix derived from the preparatory dialogue forums.

The discussions were productive and included an initial evaluation of the cases raised by the youth mediators. Committee members provided valuable feedback and qualitative consultations on solution mechanisms, praising the quality of the presentations and the accuracy of the field assessments. 📌

The meetings concluded with the importance of establishing continuous communication channels between the youth mediation team and the Reconciliation and Social Peace Committee in Taiz. They also emphasized the need to classify issues based on the level and entity of intervention, whether requiring direct involvement from local authorities or community-based interventions led by youth mediators in the field. 🔝
