About Activity
On December 25, 2017, Youth Without Borders for Development (YWBOD) in partnership with the United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) organized a youth sports marathon titled "Our Sport is Peace". This activity came on the second anniversary of the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security. The objective of this marathon was to enhance the participation of youth in Taiz Governorate in building community peace.
Activity Results
- 52 young participants from Taiz Governorate took part in the marathon, which started from Wadi Al-Qadi loop and ended at Al-Saeed University.
- Omar Taher Mofarreh Hazaa' won the first place, Mohammed Abdelwahed Al-Asadi won the second place, and Sulaiman Anwar won the third place.
- The top ten winners were honored, where the first-place winner received the marathon cup, the second and third-place winners received medals, while the participants from fourth to tenth place received symbolic financial rewards.
