With the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and in partnership with the 'For Everyone' Foundation and the Peace School, the organization 'Youth Without Borders for Development' implemented the second awareness session on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security, as part of the project 'Contributing to the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security
Activity Results
The awareness session aimed to introduce Resolution 2250 and its components, as well as discuss the mechanisms for implementing each component at the local and national levels. The session was attended by 30 participants representing different community groups, including representatives from the local authority, civil society organizations, youth initiatives, community activists, and media professionals. The participants showed notable engagement in the session activities, which included a video presentation about the resolution and the distribution of brochures and publications providing information about the resolution and its components.
This session is part of a series of awareness sessions that the organization will implement in several governorates of the country. These awareness sessions will be accompanied by various other activities to be implemented in Taiz Governorate and the rest of the country's governorates.
The awareness session began with a speech by Mr. Ayman Al-Muhaya, the project coordinator, in which he expressed his gratitude to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for supporting such activities, given their importance in empowering youth to play an active role in building and strengthening security and peace, in the context of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security.
