Supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and in partnership with the 'All For All' Foundation and the Peace School, and attended by the Director General of the Social Affairs Office, the Director General of the Planning, Cooperation and International Office, the former Director of the Seiyun Security Administration, and representatives of government entities and civil society organizations, the 'Youth Without Borders' organization implemented the fifth awareness session today on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security, as part of the project 'Contributing to the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security' in Seiyun, Hadramout.
Activity Results
The session aimed to introduce and discuss UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security. Both youth and decision-makers gathered around the same table to discuss the mechanisms for activating each aspect of the resolution at the local level in the city of Seiyun, Hadramout Governorate. The session was attended by 30 participants representing various community sectors, including representatives of the local authority, civil society organizations, youth initiatives, community activists, and media representatives. The participants expressed notable engagement in the session activities, which included a video presentation about the resolution and distribution of brochures and publications that introduced the resolution and its components.
This session is part of a series of awareness sessions that the organization will implement in various governorates of the Republic. These awareness sessions will be accompanied by several other activities to be implemented in Hadramout Governorate and the rest of the governorates of the Republic.
The awareness session began with a speech by Mr. Majed Al-Khaleedi, the head of the organization, in which he expressed his gratitude to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for supporting such activities, given their importance in empowering youth to play an effective role in building and strengthening security and peace.
