About Activity
Believing in the importance of involving youth and women in decision-making and the peace process at the local and national levels, and with reference to UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on the engagement of youth in peacebuilding and security, the organization Youth Without Borders is working to enhance the efforts of empowering youth initiatives and organizations in the peacebuilding process. It organizes workshops and meetings to prioritize youth issues and needs in decision-making.
Youth Without Borders, in partnership with the Youth Consensus for Peace and Security and the Civil Coalition for Peace, and with funding from the Dutch Embassy, has implemented workshops on "Prioritizing youth issues and needs in decision-making at the local level" in three governorates (Taiz, Aden, and Hadramaut) from August 24-27, 2022, as part of the #Partnerships project.
Activity Results
The youth initiatives and organizations in the three governorates of Aden, Hadramaut, and Taiz convened with stakeholders to identify priorities and issues around involving youth in decision-making at the local level. These workshops resulted in a set of issues that will be worked on later by the participating initiatives and organizations as projects in the target governorates.
