This public policy paper discusses the limited representation of women in leadership and decision-making positions within the security sector in Aden Governorate. It analyzes the current policies and the challenges women face, such as cultural barriers, lack of training opportunities, and institutional limitations. The paper also reviews successful international and regional experiences and proposes solutions such as legislative reforms, leadership training programs, and awareness campaigns. It concludes that empowering women in the security sector can strengthen security institutions and contribute to social stability and development.
