The workshop was successfully held, and the participants' feedback and additions were obtained to develop the draft of the National Strategy for Engaging Youth in State Lands and Endowments (Awqaf). These inputs will be relied upon to issue the final version of the strategy and begin its implementation.

In the opening of the workshop, Brother/ Majid Thabit Al-Khalaidi - President of the Youth Development Foundation, gave a speech in which he said that the project to enhance the involvement of youth in state lands and endowments (Awqaf) comes to meet the needs of young people in obtaining opportunities in state lands and endowments in order to involve them in the economic and developmental process of the country.

From his side, Engineer Rashad Al-Akhlali - Deputy Governor of Taiz, gave a speech in which he said that addressing the issue of land in general and state lands and endowments (Awqaf) in particular is important, especially given the blatant plunder that state lands and endowments are subjected to due to the weakness of the state's sovereignty and the weak performance of the government agencies concerned with these lands.

Brother Nabil Al-Harazi - Deputy Head of the Land Sector in the General Authority for Land, gave a speech in which he said that the problems faced by the Authority regarding state lands are a result of the accumulation of cases, as some cases of plunder date back to decades and are difficult to address easily, and all the concerned parties, including the security and judicial authorities, must cooperate to preserve what remains of state lands.

Engineer Yasmin Al-Awadhi - Deputy Minister of Housing, gave a speech in which she praised the efforts of the Youth Development Foundation in preparing this draft, stressing that there are many administrative, technical, and legal imbalances that led to the weakness of the concerned parties, which left the way open for the influential and land usurpers to encroach on state lands and endowments (Awqaf), which deprived young people of the opportunity to obtain such lands.
