About Activity
Within the project of "Taiz' Local Communities' Engagement in Public Life Recovery" and in partnership with Police Administration in Taiz, Youth without Borders Organization for Development (YWBOD) closes a capacity building program for 60 neighborhood mayors in the districts of Al-Qahera, Al-Mudhaffar and Salah, Taiz. This capacity building program was for three days from 22 to 24 September 2018.
Activity Results
The program aimed at building the capacities of mayors on the skills of security reports writing and the roles of mayors as described in the law No. 13 of 1994 in order to empower them to play effective roles as a connection between the communities and the security institutions.
The event is attended by B.G. Mansour Al-Akhali- the Police Administration General Manger, Col. Sameer Saleh Muthana began with a speech delivered by Col. Sameer Saleh Muthana- the police manager assistant for the neighborhoods' affairs and Col. Ahmed Al-Ahdal. B.G. Mansour Al-Ahdal delivered a speech in which he appreciated YWBOD's efforts and the importance of the partnership between the public institutions and the civil society organizations, thanking the neighborhood mayors for attending such courses, encouraging them to play their roles and duties. Col. Sameer Saleh also delivered a speech in which he confirmed the roles and duties of mayors as representatives of the police and other security institutions in order to enhance the security in the neighborhoods and the governorate as a whole. Mr. Maged Alkholidy- YWBOD's chairman also delivered a speech in which he highlighted the significance of YWBOD's partnership with police administration and the department of neighborhoods' affairs. He also shed lights on the different activities implemented by YWBOD in its project titled "Taiz' Local Communities' Engagement in Public Life Recovery". At the end, certificate of participation was distributed to the participants.
