About Activity

Civil society organizations and local initiatives in Yemen face challenges related to technical and administrative skills, affecting their ability to implement activities efficiently and advocate for priority issues. Developing these capacities is essential to improving performance and strengthening the role of civil society in supporting youth and women’s issues.

As part of the Sharakat project, the activity "Capacity-Building for Civil Society" was implemented to support civil society organizations and youth and women’s initiatives. The activity focused on providing hands-on training in advocacy, report preparation, issue analysis, and conflict management, enhancing participants’ professional competencies.

The activity was conducted in two phases: the first phase took place between June 27 and June 29, 2022, involving 20 participants (10 men and 10 women), while the second phase occurred between September 24 and September 27, 2022, targeting 41 participants (18 men and 23 women). The second phase also included knowledge transfer workshops that enabled participants to apply acquired concepts to local projects supporting community development.
