About Activity
In partnership with the School of Peace organization, the Borderless Youth organization today held the Knowledge Peace Salon on Engaging Youth in Peace. The event aimed to increase the knowledge of youth and decision-makers on the importance of youth participation in peacebuilding.
Activity Results
The Salon was attended by 40 participants, including academics, activists, government entities, active youth, women, media, and decision-makers. A working paper was presented at the event titled "UNSCR 2250 and Mechanisms for Youth Engagement in Peacebuilding". The paper focused on several key areas, including the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, and an analysis of the situation of Yemeni youth amidst conflicts, as well as the required roles between youth and official local authorities. The participants provided recommendations that can help organizations formulate projects and activities to support the peace process.
