The aim of these training courses is to build the capacities of neighborhood leaders (Aqeel Al-Hara) in report writing and preparation of security reports and notifications, and to inform them of the duties and role of the neighborhood leader according to Criminal Procedures Law No. (13) of 1994. This is to enable them to play their assigned role as a link between the community and the security authorities in order to enhance security and stability in residential neighborhoods and the governorate as a whole.
The training program began with a speech by Colonel Samir Saleh Muthanna, Assistant Director of Taiz Police for Residential Neighborhoods Affairs. He emphasized the importance of neighborhood leaders and their role as part of the security personnel, stressing the need for the leaders to play their role in contributing to the enhancement of security and stability. On the other hand, Brother Mohamed Faree, the campaign coordinator at the Borderless Youth Development organization, gave a speech highlighting the partnership between the organization and the Taiz Police Department and Residential Neighborhoods Affairs Department to normalize public life in the governorate and promote community security and peace. He also referred to the relationship of this training to the advocacy campaign for regulating weapon carrying in Taiz Governorate.
