In Al-Sakon Park in the city of Al-Turbah, Al-Shamayatayn District, in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the European Union, the Youth Without Borders for Development organization held the fourth open arts day for coexistence and peace in Al-Shamayatayn District, as part of the activities of the project "Taiz... The Melodies of Life (Promoting Community Coexistence and Peace through the Arts)".
Activity Results
This project aims to promote coexistence, social cohesion, and security through the arts, by engaging youth from different community groups (marginalized, people with disabilities, media professionals, university students, women, and teachers) who participated in awareness-raising and mobilization.
It is worth noting that this open arts day was preceded by 3 open arts days targeting the Al-Qahirah, Al-Mudhaffar, and Al-Qahirah districts in Taiz Governorate. It was also preceded by the implementation of training and capacity building for 24 young men and women from the Al-Qahirah, Salah, Al-Mudhaffar, and Al-Shamayatayn districts, as well as awareness sessions on coexistence and peace in the target districts.
