16 days to combat violence against women event
Sixteen days of activism to combat gender-based violence is an international campaign to address violence against women and girls, held annually from November 25, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to December 10, which is Human Rights Day. Through various activities and events, the campaign calls on the world to eliminate practices of violence against women and girls, and the campaign began in 1991 by the first Global Women's Leadership Institute.
