This research study investigates service-related conflicts in Taiz governorate, Yemen, during the ongoing conflict that has lasted over eight years. The study focuses on four districts: Salah, Al-Qahira, Al-Mudhaffar, and Saber Al-Mawadem. It aimed to understand and analyze the nature of disputes caused by the deterioration or absence of essential public services such as water, electricity, fuel, healthcare, sanitation, education, and transportation.

The key findings indicate that water and sanitation conflicts rank highest at 83%, followed by fuel and gas at 82%, and waste management at 68%. The study provides recommendations including strengthening accountability and advocacy, building institutional capacities, reorganizing infrastructure and services, and urging international organizations to implement sustainable interventions.

The study utilized questionnaires, interviews, and secondary data analysis. It highlights the significant impact of conflict on residents’ daily lives and proposes practical solutions to reduce community-level conflicts and improve service delivery.
