About Activity
Funded by the Youth Without Borders for Development organization, the Mashaqir Media initiative launched the "Reviving Traditional Games" project, which promotes the spirit of coexistence and peace. The initiative organized an open day for children, where traditional games were displayed, and the attending children were able to participate in playing them. Gifts were distributed to the children, and traditional artistic performances were presented by a group of children.
Activity Results
The project aims to revive and document traditional games that promote coexistence and peace, as well as draw the attention of parents to the risks of electronic games played by children, which tend to reinforce violence.
This project is part of the activities of the "Improving Community Peacebuilding Mechanisms in Yemen" project, phase three for the year 2020, which is being implemented by the Youth Without Borders for Development organization and funded by the Saferworld organization.
