The Youth Without Borders for Development (YWBOD) organization, in partnership with the Taiz Development Network, Adwar Organization for Youth Development, and Siraj Organization for Development, launched a project called "Youth Empowered." This project was funded by the Canadian Local Initiatives Support Fund (CLFI) and the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

The objective of the project was to reduce poverty and unemployment among youth in Taiz by engaging them in economic activities that would provide them with job opportunities to become self-reliant and participate in public life. The project was scheduled to last for four months, during which various activities would be implemented to achieve the overall goal and specific objectives of the project.
