After building the capacity of its members, the Isnads Culture Initiative has opened a path from Aljarrash village to Almajawil village in Al-Muwadem (195 meters long, 3.5 meters wide), widening and leveling it, in addition to building supporting walls for about 50 meters to preserve the road structure, expansion and protect it from deterioration, and another road for motorcycles (450 meters long, 1.5 meters wide).
This project aims to resolve a conflict over the road construction, where the number of beneficiaries will reach 1,008 people from the residents of Aljarrash, Almajawil and the surrounding villages.
The project was implemented with partial funding from the Youth Without Borders organization as part of the Active Communities project, which the organization implements in partnership with Saferworld and with wide community participation and contribution from the local population and cooperation with local authorities.
It's worth noting that the Active Communities project aims to ensure the stability of local communities across Yemen and their ability to adapt to various shocks, and to ensure the inclusiveness of the peace-building process that will lead to a sustainable long-term political settlement, through capacity building activities, engaging initiatives and coalitions, and providing technical and financial support to contribute to addressing the root causes of conflict and insecurity, and enhancing the peace-building process in the community according to priority issues.
